My point is that everything is now “going ballistic!”, “slammed!”, “ripped!” where in reality there may have been an exasperated sigh.
My point is that journalists need to stop over sensationalizing literally every news article they write, it is super annoying and makes me want to stop reading the news altogether
It’s how “slam” can mean “to say something negative” and yet everyone complains about it too. I don’t have a strong opinion on how valid complaints on either use are, but I see them as comparable.
