It’s picking up the text as generated because it’s mostly guess work and constantly spits out false positives, especially with non native speakers.

I wish we had a copy left solution to it, so you can use pirated data but need to open source it, so open source has a fighting chance and big AI can buy it if they want it. I’m okay with openAI and anthropic getting brought into court about it I guess, but the legislation ends up being market capture in their favor in the end.

So this guy watched it do it for four minutes, and closed the computer instead of just clicking the little stop symbol. No backup and working in a workspace with basically everything in it. Guy should be fired lol, completely tech illiterate. They lost 15% of their data, all kept only on that one computer apparently.

That’s never going to happen. The lawsuits are about who owns the models, they aren’t there to stop or even hinder AI. It’s a circus to kill open source and force us into subscription based products.

The record companies are looking to get paid, not fuck over adobe lol. All lawsuits related to this currently are pro corporation. Most of them are even win-win situations for the AI companies themselves.

I’d love to see Anthropic take a beating but these lawsuits are more about killing open sources initiatives, so everything has to move to a subscription based model where record companies get a fat piece.

They are doing it with Suno and already did it with Udio. Artists don’t get anything of course, it’s more about who gets to own the model, who gets to gatekeep the creation outright of futur models and not about who actually created the data.

I really hate how they are rolling with the Australian gym incident. They had a completely open API. Imagine having a button on your front page that sends you to the admin page without asking for a password, and then telling people you were “hacked”.

I highly doubt anything other than final assembly with the case is being done. PCB aren’t hand soldered anymore, a machine does all the work. If it was built in the US, it wouldn’t be dealing with tarrifs in any case so clearly, there’s as much slave labor involved as every other product.

Before it becomes an issue, yes I think tariffs are dumb. Its just silly to assume these guys are the only ones doing ethical gameboy gimmick toys and that’s why it’s overpriced.

A quick google actually tells me it’s manufactured in Malaysia so they don’t even do final assembly. PCB is most likely China.
