That prompted me to start using my RSS reader instead of youtube subscriptions. A more reliable experience, for sure.

Every channel has an RSS feed. So with an RSS reader you can get a chronological feed of uploads.

Haven’t watched the video, but Freetube let’s you pull from RSS.
