Imagine how much more we’ll pollute the ocean when the sea floods our cities and pick up all the liquid chemicals in all the cars.

Unironically philosopher Michael Marder argues for the use of the word “dump”, since contamination, pollution and etc contain reference to pristine state that doesn’t exist anymore. So, yeah, the dump would increase

Let’s hope the PRC continues its incredible progress on green energy, combatting desertification, and lowering emissions per capita and in total.

It does appear to be accelerating. Watching the next Five Year Plan will be telling of the direction China intends to take for 2026-2030.

Unfortunately the CO2 already in the atmosphere will continue to warm the earth for several decades even if we stop all further emissions.

We’ll need to massively deploy technology that can suck CO2, trap it in something like silicate, and bury it deep underground.

Or shift to a diet with less meat so land can be restored (this will suck some CO2 into biomass and soil).
