The best way to get gender equality is to stop assigning genders at birth (which also requires treating assigned sex as meaningless). The default should be agender (genderless), with gender being opt-in. Of course such a societal movement is hard, but if any of you reading this ever has a child, please do not assign gender to it.

Obviously fighting for rights is still necessary.

I have so hard time understanding this way of thinking. We have genders. They are biological facts defined by the cromosomes and both genders go trough fastly differend puberty and at that time children need to understand what is happening with their bodies. And these biological differences follow them as long as they are a life.

Purely from the medical point if you are a man and get hormone treatment and surgeries to transfer in to a woman, you are still a man. Man that has gone trough hormone treatment and surgeries. But its still okay to want to transfer and identify as a woman.

This also is not limited to a gender, but to a race too. Afro americans has elevated risk for hearth disease and caucasians have higher risk for skin cancer.

These are medical facts and they dont care what you or i think.

But you are right that we people should not try to limit or guide their children in to the traditional gender roles. If girl wants to play with cars they should not be denied that. Same if boy wants to play with dolls. These gender roles are the outdated things we should be trying to get rid off. Not the genders.

Everybody should have the right to be themselfs and identify as they want and also be treated equally no matter what, but it does not remove the fact, that the animal species called a human has two biological genders, if you dont count rare situations where there has been some kind of birth defect.
