It was as big as a fridge and cost $100k in today’s money to buy, for a whopping 2.5GB of storage. My astrophotography projects are several GB each, my phone can shoot 4k RAW video that eats up 6GB a minute and it’s all hobby-level. I wouldn’t mind if those 44TB drives became more affordable in a few years, I’m already saving up for a 24TB NAS.
