Why not? Mail is much more protected legally than online transactions are.

Except that most postal services prohibit sending cash, and will therefore not give a shit if the cash gets lost

This is what Mullvad says on their payment page.

Following these instructions helps us to process your payment more quickly

Do not use the same token more than once. Do not send coins, checks, or money orders. Do not send parcels or boxes. Do not seal the envelope with excessive amounts of tape. Do not use registered mail. Do not send large amounts of cash. Expect post to take at least two weeks before it arrives in our PO box. We check our PO box and credit accounts every day of the working week. Please be patient if your account has not been credited. We deal with payments as quickly as we can.

I guess they aren’t saying that they won’t accept registered mail, just that it will take longer to process.

        cash cant be traced

I think this is a feature, not a bug. You assume the risk in exchange for some privacy assuming you don’t deanonymize yourself on the return address.

Personally, I’ve never not received something that was sent in the mail. I’ve had stuff stolen on my doorstep, but my mail carrier has a 100% success rate at getting things to my door.

Yeah well, it’s a trade off that might be worth it for some in specific situations.

        • I used to send €10 O_o
Mostly because I liked getting all the different stamps to send it with.

It would take quite a while in the end. Print address to envelope, print code, insert money, close envelope, take out all the stamps, calculate the combination to get right value, check the available stock for each stamp, recalculate (no way I am using ones out of stock), take a soft brush, dip in water, wet the stamps, stick them on, make sure they’re on well, let dry, take to mailbox, wait up to 10 days for it to arrive and get credited.

You could print a random letter or graphic(s), preferably on heavier paper, and wrap the cash inside. That should make it a little harder to feel or spot on x-ray.
