I spend the first 15 minutes of every new year sending texts to all my family and friends in Wisconsin telling them to get registered on myvote.wi.gov for their absentee ballots for the year because we have to renew every single year and its my resolution to bug everyone about it until they send me “i voted” stickers (or excuses for why they haven’t a sticker but have voted) in the spring election which is days from my birthday.

Nobody buys me a gift, they send me pictures of stickers. Civic participation is my requested gift. Spring elections are shit for turnout.
