I know thiss is 4chan but Leia is a leader in the rebellion and Han Solo is like a lorry driver who honked his horn at a protest once.

Empire is actually quite literal too.

While their organized crime was the normal illegal and semi hidden type through a huge percentage of the galaxy they did also have worlds they literally were the legitimate and direct government for.

Some of the city states in Italy history do fit fairly well to this.

And in addition to being essentially a narco-state, the Hutt Cartel is also a rump state, being the remnants of the Hutt Empire, which was the largest and most powerful nation before the rise of the Galactic Republic.

Are there other Hutts in the star wars lore? If so are they also kingpins like jabba?

Kinda, yes. While not all are kingpins, the Hutts in both canons are famous for being crime bosses. Besides Jabba we know of Gardulla and after Jabba’s Death The Twins, his cousins.

There’s also wannabes like Ziro, Jabba’s Brother.

The new Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, is all about the other Hutts. Twins took over the Hutt empire after Jabba died, and they recruit the Mandalorian to track down and rescue their cousin who was kidnapped as a child. It got mixed reviews, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

At least in the movies, there’s only one Hutt empire, with a bit of a power struggle within the Hutt family. Sounds like the twins were eager to take over in the power vacuum when Jabba died. Even the Resistance has to work with them occasionally because of the powerful connections their family has.

Rotta the Hutt growing up to be not just a badass gladiator, but a genuinely good man and an honorable warrior, was one hell of a twist.

And the stop-motion fight scene in the final act was just 😭❤️❤️❤️
