A AD screen that has failed to boot, it has been like that for almost 2 months! This screen is in the center of the city middle of the Metro & Train Hub. I’m not complaining though!
Edit: Fixed typo
I’ll take a grub cli over a bsod any day
Same! I have fixed grub many times and bsod and bsod are such a pain.
That doesn’t look like Active Directory to me…
I much prefer seeing this… to the actual ads.
Me to buddy!
Wonder if the boot device died. Behavior is in line with some NVMe failure modes I have encountered.
Time to update
fstab? At least they’re ongrub. 😅Or the device (or its controller) has died.
Aren’t these often being run from USB stick? Those dying iirc is a major cause of these errors
True. At least when they go off brand instead of SanDisk.
PS: this comment is not sponsored by SanDisk
I’ve had sandisk stuff break too.
Well, as the Japanese say, even a dog (SanDisk) will eventually come across the stick* (malfunction) if it goes out for a walk (normal use).
*here, “punishment”, “calamity” or simply “something bad”
We Czechs say “The jug gets used to bring water over and over till the handle falls off.” More obvious.
Am I right to assume, that even Czechs who are not chaotic neutral would say that? 🤣
Or the device was stolen. 🤣
Interesting though, that it goes on to check for a filesystem after(?) it has detected no device with that UUID.
Someone needs NixOS for managing their fleet of devices…
Feeling GrubHub tonight
Harbor Freight has ventured into electronics…
