Imagine getting out of the excavator to go to the loo and getting hit in the head by a brick.
Imagine not putting on a hard hat when you’re no longer protected by ROPS/FOPS.
I cannot find my glasses when I am wearing them. I don’t think I am going to put a hardhat on when I forgot I am not wearing it.
You need pretty good situational awareness in construction, doubly so when you’re operating heavy equipment.
