The little box looks like it has the DirecTV logo on on the right side, might be a receiver for that. There’s no VCR, but it does look like a mix of audio and video equipment based on the unplugged RCA trio.
Laser disc is a solid maybe. A radio tuner is in there somewhere, too. My thought is above the amp, which is above the tape deck.
Haha, I was too lazy to zoom in on the picture but now I can see that the bottom unit was not a VCR like I initially thought. Point to you, internet stranger :)
