Toaster Strudels are definitely better than Pop Tarts, but they have also been victims of shrinkflation over the years.

And, they’re unbelievably easy to make, super affordable (one ~$3 box of puff pastry [+jam/fruit/bacon/etc] ≈ six boxes of store-bought “strudels”), and simple enough that a kid can build & bake 'em. 🤙🏼

        Enjoy! 🤩

p.s. The link basically describes: puff pastry thawed and scored/cut to shape (x2); cooling your filling of choice (hot filling + puff pastry = fail); 1-2T of filling centered on 1 (of 2) scored/cut sheet w/ ~¾" margins; fork-pressing edges to seal (eg. pie crust edges); then, baking the batch and letting it cool before strudeling the lot.

Frankly, if you “par-bake” (50-80% bake time), counter cool (on a rack, so the bottom doesn’t sog), and freeze them, then popping them in the toaster as needed is a cinch. 😉
