Bitcoin has value as a means to be valuable. It doesn’t actually need anything else.
It’s a great example of it is what it is because of how it is.
The very concept of investment is more or less distilled down with crypto. You get an unattached vehicle that is no more or less then just a means to a end.
So ANYTHING that needs to move value can use it. Literally ANYTHING. Which means that everything can use it, including illegal or questionable things.
And in that regards it’s been a major success!
And since it’s being moved and valued anywhere by anyone for any reason it sustains a level of value which means others can use it for legit and legal uses. Which self reinforces it.
It’s literally a perpetual motion machine in a sense. It’s valuable because it’s used. And used because it’s valuable.
It’s not a bubble, it’s no different then a seashell being used as currency, or a shiny rock. It’s just a means to a end.
