Way more than 2 parties in the US. The problem is that elections seem to be a measure of unity more than a measure of popularity. You can’t split the vote for the “not hitler” candidate when all the racists, modern-day slavers, religious wackos, and generally the bottom half of humanity, are unified behind one candidate. There is a time and place for everything, and people need to learn pragmatism and how to pick their battles.
