As someone that always Reads The Fucking Manual, it’s frustrating to live in a world full of people that never Read The Fucking Manual.

I wrote a 60 page manual for the machine my code runs on and I have talked to a total of one (1) person who actually checked the manual for his problem before calling us for help.

What are you actually learning? Coding hasn’t changed substantially in 10 years. You might have picked up some rust along the way but what are you actually reading?

This isn’t specifically related to coding. I’m taking about any manual, be it for a programming language, or a microwave oven. Regarding my particular field of endeavor, how many people that drive cars are even remotely familiar with the actual road rules legislation, or even looked at them since they got their licence? See also the people that complain about following Ikea instructions as if they aren’t the simplest possible instructions to follow.

You’re comparing figuring shit yourself to ai vibing it for you? Wow. Just fantastic. Really going with consistent themes here.

What are the two themes to you? Because I see

            1. I didn’t learn it so I can’t do it

            2. You should always learn it

            Seems pretty consistent to me

Offloading individual responsibility / competency is not the same as “figuring shit out yourself”

The individual who doesn’t know the rules of the road may not have an incident but may also constantly be endangering themselves and others. Your retort is derogatory and lacks contemplation but what did I expect this is a comment section on the internet 😅
