Normally you’d have a point. But I’d seriously recommend looking up a review before taking a defensive stance on this one.
Honestly, I’d say they’re wasting your time with “exploration” at all, if they’re going to be this aggressive about giving it away. There’s no joy in solving a puzzle when you’re told the answer before you can even think about it. The puzzle is simply wasting your precious time. There’s no joy in “looking” for something that gives away its hiding spot with massive sonar and loud noises as soon as you enter the room. You’re just doing chores.
They could’ve made a shorter action game with a good story, or they could’ve at least made this stuff optional and given the player agency, and then we wouldn’t even be talking about the game, but they opted instead to utterly waste your time on padding with no substance, and to insult your intelligence.

Sounds like they could cut the fat and make it a visual novel with cutscenes
