Aww man, one of my favourite parts of original Doom games was looking for secrets. The Dark Ages is on my playlist since it was on sale a while ago. I found the secrets even in Eternal to be extremely obvious… like just turn a corner and the “secret” is right there in plain view
It’s one of those latent trends where it’s not a “bad” game fundamentally, but rather it feels kinda soulless, and not really like doom as it was originally intended.
It’s fine if you catch it on sale, IMO, but don’t expect exploration, puzzle solving or labryinth stuff.
