Unaccredited homeschooling isn’t an education… at best it’s uncritical and ineffectual, at worst it’s blatant brainwashing for “alternative facts”, dubious history and religious dogma. If the kid didn’t pass the same standards his peers did, then he isn’t qualified, end of story.
I was homeschooled and I was required to take all the same standard tests that public school was required. My diploma is equal to that of one through a public school. But no idea if thats a requirement in Nebraska…
