You almost died and God put you back on Earth to improve the situation and lives of others. And one thing I can tell you about religion is it does not do this. People get so caught up in proselytizing that they don’t actually do anything good. Lip service instead of real progress. Nitpicking and fighting with each other over differing interpretations.
Jesus’s message was very clear: help others. That’s the whole fucking thing. And every time you judge someone to be less or more Christian than you, you’re not helping anybody.
Donating, charity work, voting for socialist policies, volunteering: these are things that actually move the needle. And none of these require religion.
So do the world a favor. Put down the judgy attitude, grab a lawn mower, and go mow some old ladies lawn for free.
