I use it daily. They refused to hire me help for a decade, and I’m completing projects I needed to do 5 years ago at least to the level of a marginally competent assistant, which is a stark improvement over not getting done. I’m farming out all the BS, actually documenting changes.
That said, yeah, I’m scared AF it’s going to be used in places it doesn’t work well. Self-driving cars, Un-monitored software development, Artists, Wordsmiths. I’m scared AF it’s going to enable the CEO’s to release all their bad ideas without financial barriers and everything will just destroy itself.
Lastly, it’s driving enshitification. I was at a conference last week, there were no longer any feature disparities, Everyone copied whatever the company to the left did as quickly and as shittily as they could. They all do the same thing, They just half suck at 2/3 of the features.
