Mulligan -> Mulliganagin -> MOOP -> Moopy -> Moopy Boopy Moopagan -> Moolagin the Hooligan -> Mump -> Mumpus -> Mumpy Bumpy -> Bumpus -> Mr. Bumpus -> Mr. puppy
There’s also a whole other naming tree based on calling him Beef lol
Echo -> Ekkers -> X -> X-man -> asshole
Margot, margus, margles, margulis, the marvelous magus, menelaus
Mikey -> Handsome -> Handsome Pantsome -> Mr. Pantsome -> Pantsome -> Pants
Lol I call my wife Pants. Had a different chain to get there, but ended in the same place.
Evolutionary convergence; ultimately every name evolves in to pants
My favorite cat was Maggie, but I almost never called her that. She was Maggles, Mags, Magalicious, Magapottamous, and my favorite, which I called her most of the time, Mama Bear.
We still have her kitten, Chloe, who I always call Kitty Bear. Little Kitty Bear is 19 years old.
Puppy Bean > Pork & Beans > Pork Chop
Noodle -> Roodle -> Roodle Noodle -> Noods -> Fluffer -> Fluffer-ass -> Lil’ Biche
Just one dog, with a bunch of names I’m missing in-between. And they all have multiple songs too
Currently we have Wooba, Poupa, and Pk fire (respectively; Courage, Lola, and Poundcake)
Nora -> Monkey -> Nora Monkey -> Monkey Doodle -> Doodle Monkey -> Monkey Moo
When I adopted my dog, his name was Doc. That didn’t fit him. At some point, I started calling him Dockie and that turned into Duckie. He started responding to Ducky so that’s his name now.
Duck or Ducky or Quackinator 5000. Because he barks too much.
I had an Addi who became silly goose because she was ridiculous. Then she just became Goose. Also Baby Goose, Little Baby Goose, Smelly Goose, Asparagoose (any time we ate asparagus), and when she was in trouble, Addison. Her original name of Addi was never used after the first week I had her.
Dimitri > Dimitri Boy > Slinky Boy > Stinky Boy > Stinky Slinky
Oh good I’m not the only one. I blame the fact that my dumbass cat doesn’t respond to her own name. This justifies me calling her a million different names. Honestly I just wished one would stick. Stupid cat.
Fwiw, she knows, and is snubbing you.
Better? Worse? Who knows.
I bet she listens to any name as long as you’re calling from the kitchen
I’ve had 5 cats and none of them have had similar names…
We adopted Louie 12 years ago. His name is now Louis the Poois Doois (our last name) the Third Wu Tang Clan Jr., Esquire McTriple-Chin.
I picked up a stray cat my daughter had taken to the vet for an injury. I told the vet something like, “It’s called Bruno or Percy or something, they keep changing the name.”
Furball -> fur face -> douglas fir --> Douglas -> Mr. Dink -> dink
Very expensive.
