I live near an area where they go to vacation. Multimillion dollar literal mansions with separate housing for their pools/guests, on huge properties and they literally have people they pay to live in the house because they only actually use it 2-3 weeks a year…
Friend of mine has that gig, lives in some rich guys woods compound through the winter. Except he’s pretty much cut off from society outside the Internet, starlink has been a huge blessing up there. Place is a 4 hour snowmobile ride from the nearest gas station.
A thousandth of one percent is 1x10^-5, i.e. if your oligarch spent 10^9 (a billion) you would get 10.000 dollars (10^4) which I doubt would be enough to cover most major problems. (Or 100.000 dollars for that matter)
