Problem with the pickup truck thing is that you would also nuke those of us driving older trucks like my 01 Tacoma, my fucking hood is shorter than the back bumper of some modern pickups. Mind you that could be corrected with height and tonnage specifications.
Yeah I feel like if it is crash compatible there’s no problem. You could also let current truck owners be grandfathered in and have no new trucks sold to the general public.
There’s really a ton of options other than just letting people get bigger and bigger trucks that really just kill more people.
