How did you expect her to understand the significance of the Númenor and the sword of Elendil, or Aragon’s reluctance to claim his rightful throne, let alone the rings worn by Gandalf, Galadriel, and Elrond? Or why there are exactly nine ring wraiths?
Honestly, did you expect her to just accept the notion that some existential evil was for some reason deciding to wake up now and begin terrorizing the entire known world, without knowing the reasons why, or why destroying this old piece of jewelry is the only way to defeat the evil?
Even the movies cover that part in the very beginning!
