Nevermind “mandated”, do they even get the therapy they need when they are willing to sign up voluntarily? Would any spree shooter have gotten it if they signed up for it? Mental healthcare isn’t exactly in a great place in most countries, especially for conditions that are a little more difficult to treat, and especially for the kinds of conditions that might prompt authorities to restrict your freedom.

America is a country in which it’s easier to get guns than doctors, and now they’re trying to take away vaccines on top of it. Even if you wanted to keep access to guns where it’s at (for whatever reason), you could still massively influence the amount of shootings happening by making it easier to get by so people don’t feel so goddamn helpless all the time. Taking 17M people off Medicaid will directly cause more medical deaths and indirectly cause more nonmedical deaths through things like frustrated shootings.

What was it - like statistically again? 2-3% of trans people detransition? Now let’s look at the statistics of mass shooters and their manifestos…

So trans people need to be put forcefully into therapy, but Bubba whose gonna deal with the “Jew problem”, that’s somebody of sane mind and body?

    Gtfo here.

And even so the number of people who detransition due to social pressure is the majority of those who do de transition and some will retransition later

You can’t look at statistics because then you would see that the vast majority of shooters are white, middle class males. You know, the historical base of voters for this party.

          wtf are you talking about?

my point is that the right is going to start “looking at statistics” and ignore that their base is the most likly to commit this type of crime.

Relax ^^; it was a joke. Hyperbolic humor laden with sarcasm. I was agreeing with you and then employed an insane supposition (calling you a “commie”), while also telling you that literal morals police has been dispatched to your location.

But then again, in this post-irony age we live in, I understand why it was taken literally.

You have a blessed day now 🙂

“Nooo, don’t associate shooters with trans people, that’s just correlation without causation”

“But also, they had actually detransitioned, so that clearly means detransitioners are the least stable demographics”

Can we please just agree that mental illness is one thing, and sexuality is another completely different thing?

Yeah this has nothing to do with the subject anyways. It’s completely unrelated and based on not being accepted in society.

I’ve seen more happy trans posts than depressed trans posts. Think this is my first trans regret post I’ve read (or at least I can’t remember any others)

Well think about it, like it or not some kids transition because it’s the new thing to do, problem is they’re kids, they don’t always know what they want yet, and going back on something this life altering must be incredibly hard.

How I explain this to my friends who like to make jokes about LGBT.

In highschool, I was alone. No friends. No body bullied me. When Ihl joined the work force (in fact, 2/3 jobs I had) it was the straights who made fun of me for being alone/weird.) It was the trans and non-binary coworkers who tried to help me and check in if I’m OK.

So now, even if my new job has no LGBT staff, I will defend them as much as I can, because they stood up for me before.
