From what I’ve heard, the 18 month thing is an absolute impossibility. Most oil companies would take 5 to 10 years to get their infrastructure back up and running in the region. Also It seems as none of the oil companies are interested in this at all.

Yeah I see people bitching about their TV showing ads on menus and I’m wondering why the hell anyone would hook a smart TV to the internet in the first place.
