Yeah, that sounds awful too. I never hear good things about the game industry.

I don’t know. My first job was in a cubicle and it was in the middle of a large floor. There wasn’t any natural light and the cubicles spread in all directions for what felt like forever. Like, its nice to have your personal space but it sucks to have the hours blend together because you’re in a liminal space where you can’t tell if you’re alive or dead.

Painting cement actually is a great thing. It protects the floor

Nothing quite like using Chinese censorship for American censorship!
You’d have to go looking for a specific model but https://huggingface.co/ has a model for nearly anything you’d want. You just have to setup your local machine to run it.
I’m not sure what you mean by ideal. Like, run any model you ever wanted? Probably the latest ai nvidia chips.
But you can get away with a lot less for smaller models. I have the amd mid range card from 4 years ago (i forget the model at the top of my head) and can run text, 8B sized, models without issue.
Not if you run it locally!

Next bubble? They’re already calling dibs? We ain’t done with this one yet!

It’s sad because at least with public companies they must disclose important information to investors. With private capital, this is really only feasible for investors with large capital and leverage. Smaller investors may as well buy lottery tickets than invest into any private capital.
Believe it or not, straight to jail.
True. It all depends. That’s no better.
The open floors that I’ve experienced typically have a long tables parallel to the window where everyone is crammed into, with meeting rooms towards the inside of the building.
