The “real” fun subtext here is in how desperate Cain actually is to be liked. And he also comes at it from all the wrong angles and with strong “no, it’s the kids who are wrong” energy when things don’t play out as expected.

Windows has issues, but part of the disconnect here is from a person not understanding or not acknowledging the differences between a work computer and a personal one.

201·4 months agoIn some fairness it sounds like the Kingdom of Bahrain are the weird ones here. But still, it sounds like all other arguments aside, she has no way of knowing if a soldier is any particular place. So asking her to stop sending to soldiers in that region is kind of pointless.

20·5 months agoMy big fear with this stuff is security. It just seems so “easy”, without knowledgeable people, for AI to write a product that functions from a user perspective but is wide open to attack.

1·6 months agoI’ve seen it off and on in random Lemmy and Reddit talks, along with some of the usual “best xyz” article search results, that you take with a grain of salt. Though in these days where even Lemmy has its boting I take dang near everything with a bit of salt. Lucky me that I’m a bit of a salt fiend.
Emphasis on it being conversations for true blue noobs haven’t dabbled and may not be very technical. To your point Mint and Ubuntu are right there next to it. By way of comparison I actually use Cachy and it’s not “hard” but I would not give it to my parents.

8·6 months agoClearly something’s going on here, but I’m uninformed, would you mind doing an ELI5? I figure it all ties to the weird characters they used.

I mean technically it would only be the last step and presumably the sum of multiple customers. But someone else has already claimed this may be an intentional psychological gambit.
