You’re spot on. I lean HARD left myself and still I’m actively advocating all my friends go out and purchase a firearm while they can. Not for some far fetched rebellion against tyranny, but simply to protect themselves from getting hate-crimed by the scum who will inevitably feel they’ve been given permission to do so by this regime.
