An American friend that lives here in Germany sent our city’s flag to her parents. They put it up in their front yard to mess with their racist neighbors. When they got mad they just innocently said “Well, that’s just a souvenir from our daughter.”

While I agree that there should be a way harsher response, wasting the regimes resources and thereby throwing a spanner in the works is a legit way of protest.
