I changed it, should work now.
They should listen to Meredith Whittaker (German) the boss of Signal.
It sets precedent. You could extend that on anything. Doesn’t make the German pay or piss yourself thing any better though.
[Installing software] will still be possible but the apps themselves will need to be signed by the developer through Google, so Google ultimately still controls what can be installed. Maybe someone will crack it.
