Just a dood or likes reading and chatting about computers

Ai slop and MIT

Honestly running anything that isn’t Synology made on their devices is a pain. Also, without knowing how old the device is, it’s also a challenge to make a recommendation. As the other user replied Jellyfin is a good one, can run music, movies and tv, and home media too.
Stash is also a good one for grandpa
looks like extreme nitpicking without any real issues beyond some VC funding a FOSS issues.
//whyre you spamming the comment to everyone? its quite alarmist actually

So as in slop?

It seems everyone here misunderstood your post then spam downvoted you.
For pirating streams versus pirated selfhosted the biggest reason for the latter besides just being a fun hobby is reliability. Internets out? I can still watch whatever I want and know it’s ready to go :)

I don’t see notifications in the setting. Premium has auto transfer for 2,500¥ which is like 15$ or so, but I think I only paid 5$ for pro which is enough.
It’s on my home screen, I do it once a day or so. Depends how many photos you take. I probably have close to 100,000 from 2017 to today so I back them up regularly.

Yeah, I use it every day and have synced over 80k photos and videos to my servers with it. I absolutely love it. I know of no other option and I do not trust Immich or Nextcloud sync. I have never ever had an issue with photosync and if there is ever a rare error it tells me why.
I have it set to rsync to my local server. I open the app. It has already selected the recent media that is unsynced to said location. I then press sync and it does it in the background.
I believe the paid level above pro has some sort of auto sync based on location but I chose to not get that because I didn’t need it.
Super, super recommend!

The photosync app is amazing! I think I paid a onetime fee of 5$ for pro
Jellyfin for control over what your child can watch. Qbittorrent for getting the media. Immich for organizing their photos—way better than iphone images by a landslide. Jellyfin also for music. Babybuddy for infant tracking needs. I would use ghost for blogging. I also appreciate mediawiki for a family genealogy wiki. Wireguard/Tailscale for safety. Adguard for controlling what comes into the house. Stash for keeping parents happy.

No ai? :)
Can I integrate location history from google maps or my running watch or just my phone? Would be interested just in getting that print out of all my runs
Also—why would someone want location history beyond getting that cool map? What does this add that my selfhosted ability to remember where I went doesn’t?
