  • you’re gonna make a lot of people very upset with your attitude. you’re supposed to be against LLMs because (checks notes) idk something about electricity consumption (which is not actually that big) and water consumption (which is not actually that big). and of course making artists unemployed (which btw they largely already were, and you can still donate to them via patreon, just as you could before, just that now there’s more competition in the field, which is somehow bad, because for some reason art is only good if some human suffered through the process of making it. suffering builds character or sth after all, amiright? /s)

  • my opinion is that as time marches on, fewer and fewer of these original consoles will be around, assuming that they don’t get manufactured anymore. so eventually, we’ll all be forced to use emulators anyways.

on top of that, i guess emulators are cheaper. you already have the computing device, you only need a new controller to attach to it.

  • kinda, none of that seems to matter. sure, there is no future. i have spent years of my life detailing these things, talking to people, trying to get any kind of response.

my conclusion is, as far as i could find out, other people seem to be fucking dumb, in the sense of: completely oblivious to the fact that what makes humans humans is being actively dismantled. people are zombies, dead inside, brainwashed individuals.

i don’t think it’s like all these zombie movies on TV, i think the zombies are not gonna be violent mobsters who are gonna bite you and such and you defend yourself with a gun. the actual zombies are your neighbours, your coworkers, your family. people who are dead inside, just mind-controlled organisms who try to manipulate you to follow the hive mind. in that way they are “eating your brain”. they’re all around us. that’s the actual death of society.

  • :o

that sounds like an amazing project. i have literally been thinking just yesterday whether i could ever get back the nostalgic (and often crappily made xD) flash games of my youth.

xD and the video on the project website is so iconic xD literally uses music from redacted (guess the game yourself :)).

question: does anyone have a backup of the flashpoint archive itself? in case that one goes down (so, double backup)
