There was a time, in December of 2016, where I really thought that trump might come out as a democrat after taking office. Gender expectations for afabs in high school are unhinged. A “friend” once made me feel bad because I carried fat in my breasts, just because she was insecure about having smaller breasts than I did. I didn’t even want them at all, but somehow I got shamed for them not being good enough.

The most baffling part is that I didn’t get my period until 17, so at no point during high school did I even have a bust for her to get jealous about, I was just a little chubby.

I was also regularly called a man for not plucking my pretty tame eyebrows and getting fake tans. I’d say that they might have been picking up on my egg status, but I’m pretty certain that’s not the case. Man, I hated high school.

Nah, I include my brain, but I also include my contiguous body and various practices.

If a hair falls out, I’ve changed, but not meaningfully. If a doctor does a biopsy and takes some of my brain tissue, I’ve also changed, hopefully also not meaningfully. If I become a person through injury, illness, or aging who never dances or if I forget how to speak my native language, I’ve also changed.

I never took it in school, and I don’t have much contact with it now either. I’m picking up some Arabic now though.

I emigrated from the US five years ago. The last year I lived there, I paid $13k for healthcare (including my deductible and premiums) as a healthy single adult in my 20s with one monthly prescription.

Maybe it’s just in this specific case, but if you can’t find any enjoyable music from an entire decade, that’s on you. Unless you want to try and make the case that you’re the only one with good taste and the rest of us are just lowly rubes, which is obviously ridiculous (though I’d probably enjoy the attempt).

But you’re allowed to have narrow taste and it’s not an insult. No need to get offended.

A possible solution. If you go to your local game store and tell them why, they’ll probably give you a single or sell it to you for a few cents.
