3·23 天前Disconnect between P&L decision makers and technical professionals, been the same story for 40 years now. The more the C suite is filled with “business/accounting/law” the further the business moves away from its core competency. Praise be to jack welch, may he rest in piss.

2·23 天前So I’m all for these kinds of systems. What I see coming from a legacy manufacturer is they have so many limitations and restrictions, or their CTO and similar departments refuse to accept some of the system requirements, that once they purchase a novel new technology system, it just falls apart. From my experience it has almost always been two things, either the vendor selling the service over sold their ability, or the purchasing company ham strung the project so much that it was doomed before it started.
But I’m still hopeful, you actually build a system that meets the requirements, you have a customer actually embrace the systems and changes, it would enable success.
These two might not meet that definition, however I do see it as a rare but valuable example where a wealthy family and I might add that this family built their wealth from a masonry business; very blue collar beginnings and instilled a work ethic in their kids that led to successful lives.
There are rich people who don’t pay for their kids college.
One of the wealthiest families that I went to high school with set the expectation that they were not paying for their children’s college. They would provide support for their living expenses, so not 100 percent cut off, but both of them are quite successful. One became a medical doctor, the other a successful architect.
So with out them being able to get scholarships, they wouldn’t have had the opportunity to go to college in the same way.
I didn’t flush her cremates down a toilet, I threw them in the trash. Got tired of looking at the box they were delivered in, sitting on the floor. Most grandparents remains get thrown out. We move on, our remains only mean something to a limited group of people.
What does that have to do with anything. I do btw.
Sorry for what? That my mother voted for Trump, went so far down the Q Anon hole that she publicly spewed anti vaccine propaganda, ultimately caught a bad case of Covid while having basically all of the high risk morbidity issues, barely managed to survive, then spend the last 2 years of her life as basically an invalid and ultimately die surrounded by garbage and dog shit?
Looks like something out of dungeon crawler Carl.
I threw my moms ashes in the trash. Not entirely because she voted for Trump.
There’s a CFR that describes a standard in metric?

Man, the one thing I was interested in, the decompiling of abandoned software to get old games and software back, is being limited.
