Now place that bowl of cereal in a hotdog bun. Is it a cream sandwich, a milk wrap, or a fucking mess?
Ok slow down, people have some kind of issue with recipe blogs and how there’s often narrative text before the recipe??? Because this is definitely not the millionth time I’ve seen this same lame joke from 20 years ago recycled. 🙄
Here, for people that find this funny, I made you a new one:
nobody:
me: what’s the deal with airline food?
the food: I can’t talk I’m food
airplane: wtf a talking food
you’re welcome

Fuck AI@lemmy.world•An AI-Generated Country Song Is Topping A Billboard Chart, And That Should Infuriate Us All
651·2 days agoWhen a computer can just toss all your shit in a blender and spit it back out, and it satisfies fans of your genre to this extent, then frankly this is a badly needed wake up call to country music.
yeah well at least everyone agrees the GOP base is scary, so that’s something I guess lol. There is still a cinder of objective reality we can all gather around, which is that the hardest right people in a country with 500 million guns are --shockingly-- a scary as fuck bunch.
Oh absolutely working of your own free will in London at an unpaid position is just like being kidnapped , stripped of all rights and agency, and sold as an animal.

6·2 days agoIt means he knows nothing and there’s no actual plan. Like always, Trump is just gonna Trump and it’s up to his circle of interpretivite dementia experts and pill grifters as to what he actually means.

9·2 days agoIf that. I’d say my expenses this year have for sure gone up by a total of more than 2k, although I respect that much of that ended up in the pockets of our sacred shareholders and CEOs and their holy quest for quarterly growth, not directly tariffs.

politics @lemmy.world•Senator Who Caved on Shutdown Says “Standing Up to Trump Didn’t Work”
35·2 days agoOh boy is that sad. Standing up to Trump works just fine. To put it politely, you get fucked for sure when you roll over, at least when you stand up there’s a chance.
In practice, that’s as simple as adding a LoRA or system prompt telling the AI that those are part of it’s rules. AI’s already can and do obey all kinds of complex rule-sets for different applications. Now, if you’re thinking more about the fact that most AI’s can be convinced to break out of their rule-sets via prompt injection, I’d say you’re right.
Not after 1952 he wasn’t. { Incredibles ‘those who know’ meme goes here }
This is probably the most famous one, all the way back from 2014! https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/perspectives-on-politics/article/abs/testing-theories-of-american-politics-elites-interest-groups-and-average-citizens/62327F513959D0A304D4893B382B992B
And here’s an OK video on the study (more biased than the study itself but very easy to understand): https://youtu.be/5tu32CCA_Ig

politics @lemmy.world•Trump administration says states must "immediately undo any steps" to send full SNAP benefits
5·2 days agoYeah, good luck with that. People were sent their full SNAP in my state because a judge ordered those benefits to be paid. I get a case for stopping further States’ distributions given the more recent judgement, but the idea that they’ll be able to claw back money from the States that have already distributed the full amount seems insane. People got sent what they were entitled to, in the amount they were entitled to, after a judge’s order saying to do that and before another judge’s order saying not to do that. So I just don’t conceive of an argument that a court would accept that would retroactively claw that money back from people.
Money talks. The donor class needed 8 dems to end the shutdown and turn on the money fountain again, and they got them. If they had needed 25 dems to cave, they would have gotten 25. If it was (somehow) critical to maintaining their wealth that 40 republicans vote for the “Trans and Immigrants are Actually The Best Bill”, then 40 republicans will vote for it. Congressional outcomes have nearly nothing to do with voter preferences, you can look up studies on exactly how that has become totally desynced the last century, especially since Citizen’s United.

you could have at least bothered to name two Democrats if you’re trying for an example.
