Climate. We don’t need AI, we need people with decent jobs and fair wages. Plant trees, create preserved areas and lets stop destroying our collective home.

The two languages split and diverged into the forms they currently have due to the people living in the territories.

Portugal developed a more nasal and closed speech, where vowels are commonly swallowed or nasal, closer to celtic speech roots, while spanish maintaned its more open speech structure, with every vowel clearly marked.

It’s easy for a portuguese to follow spanish and brazillian while the opposite is often not. The european portuguese is denser, more compact and even faster for the majority of time. By comparison, spanish and brazilian are slower paced and open.

I can’t find a picture to post but recently the building fad in my country for single family homes is cubes. Literally, cubes. The houses are made of grouped cubic structures. No rounded surfaces, no decorative details. A bit like watered down brutalism.

Can’t imagine those houses aging well.

Meanwhile, old stone houses just look… good. Renovated, awsome. Abandoned, creepy. No ghosts though.

Giraffes are often recorded killing and maiming lions. Those orange checkered XL horses are dangerous. It should be clue the food they eat and how extreme their biology is.

We can shut down 90% of datacenters today, suffer a slight inconvinience to our lives and keep living.

We have a farm failure…

That is a very poor equivalence.

Powertools and machinery still require knowledge on how to do the work properly, account for future maintenance, test for leaks, etc.

Which is not what everyone is trying to do with “AI”. The “tool” is supposed to replace all necessity of trained and knowleadgeable workers and at some point the workers themselves.

Brave should not be recommended under any light. Telemetry, their own advertising, crypto, data mining, etc. I used it for some time and I do not recommend it.

Is Mr. Skeletal an old time cliopart? Very nice.

I can feel this to an uncomfortable level.

And is it not good that it does not? Serves to show that creativity is a unique process to each individual. If it works, that is what it matters.

No hate anywhere. Writing by hand is a commited effort. The moment the ink sets, it’s there. No back space to hit and erase whatever you wrote because it doesn’t sound good. You can cross it out but when you go back to read what may have survived you remember what you rejected in the moment and that may actually be useful if tweaked or reviewed.

And writing by hand is useful. It actuates the body. Works it. Develops fine motor skills. It can even let out cues to mental states in how the hand writing comes out. And it is physical. It exists. It is not an ethereal string of bits that may cease to exist if an electrically charged storage medium fails.

If you want to write, just write.

Get some paper, a pen, sit your butt down and write.

Don’t use a computer. Not yet. Commit to writing what comes out. Keep the mistakes, the bad spelling, the weird phrasing, everything.

Just let it out.

Then get away. And I do mean away.

Throw it in the corner, maybe behind the cat litter or the dog food or perhaps near the toilet or stand your bed lamp on it.

Let it get cold. Maybe a week.

Then go back, read it and, now, you can you the computer or the cellphone to start cleaning up the thing and improving it.

The machines are better at repeating a task with no down time but even then quality will degrade. That is why quality verification exists.

Hand made cars - or anything, by extension - are so expensive because of the human attention going into it. A specialized worker, technician, engineer, etc, makes sure their job is the best because they are specialists at what they do.
