As someone who understands the concept of network but has never professionally entered the field, i assume this just dumps a TCP packet to be inspected, correct?

What can be done after the sale? ban them?
That’s not too far fetched for our liberal government, Bill C21 and their use of Order In Councils to ban firearms that have been available for sale in this country since the 70’s.
All because someone who obtained firearms illegally, killed some cops in Nova Scotia and paraded around town dressed as one of the officer’s on a mass-killing spree, folks who are licensed firearms owners have to suffer the consequence of this numbskulls actions, makes complete sense.

Rename the United States to Canada (WIP)

They’ll ID you for simply buying a lighter, as dumb as it sounds, every 7-11 I’ve been to does this.

7-11 will quite literally scan the barcode on your ID / Driver’s licenses, wonder what kind of information they get from it.

The use of code block markdowns in lieu of quotation’s is mildly bothersome. They each have their intended purposes, but why use them incorrectly?

The phrase “Family Doctor” has confused the living hell out of me growing up, I want to see a doctor, me myself and I, I am not signing up my family to see a doctor.
The many-month long waiting queue is not ideal either, I’ve given up trying to find a doctor and resorted to just going got the ER when things get worse.

Out of curiosity, how is WireGuard blocked in your country? I would assume you cellular provider and or ISP sniffs for the default port (51820) - can’t you just put it on another port?

Still criminalizing nearly a million people, myself included, for property they’ve owned for decades, but sure let’s call him the perfect prime minister.

I remember Quebec trying to do the same thing back In 2007, they wanted their own identity and sovereignty and the rest of Canada shamed them for it, eventually the federal government gave in to their demands and here we are today.
Alberta wants to separate, the rest of Canada is shaming them, they’ll whine and complain until the federal government caves, which is what they’re doing with the pipeline deal.
Are the waffles at least good?

Premier Danielle Smith: The leader of the separatist movement is a gun store owner, who strongly opposes Bill C21 and the governments use of the Order in Councils.

I sadly am on a iPad and iPhone, but I do use the app Unwatched that blocks youtube ads.
I have an iPhone / iPad combo as well, my preference is Yattee as it supports the Invidious APi as well as Sponsor Block and DeArrow.
Edit; after I made this comment I checked the App Store for Yattee, it appears delisted, their GitHub reports a V2 is in the makes.
I have tried setting up invidous but I some how always seem to mess it up The Google knows what I have watched on Youtube and that is it.
That is fair, I had no issue dumping my prior watch history and starting from scratch, i can see how it turns many people away.
Invidious is quite high-maintenance unfortunately, always have to stay on top of updates which occur a couple times a week otherwise your instance falls behind and eventually dies due to YouTube constant changing of their APi.
I was with hosthero but they have no wild card emails and I could not add A records, or it was very hard don’t remember or care, I am now with easyDNS and wish I started with them as they have everything I was looking for without CPannel!
I personally bought my hardware, asus router and dedicated mini-pc for networking and server tinkering, besides electrical I only have to pay for my domain which I got from namecheap but then eventually transferred to Cloudflare, but thinking I should switch registrars before my next bill payment.

I would hate that for whatever service that is for,
It’s the provincial governments authentication service for Canadians, if you ever used GCKey it’s essentially the same thing but provincial opposed to federal.
It allows ease of access to things like medical records, tax records, license renewals and such.
Alberta has their own system similar to this.
the only Google service I knowingly use is Youtube
Might I suggest Invidious as an alternative, you can host your own that way only 1 device on your network needs to contact YouTube directly or you can use one that is public.

I also know there is a script you can set up which will handle the initial contact to federate automatically.
I tried finding such a script but had no luck. I was able to export my subscription list from sh.itjust.works and imported it on my instance.
I had to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the communities I follow as I was experiencing the ‘Subscribe Pending’ issue but after a little while things seemed to start evening out and becoming a bit more stable.

My instance has been online for about a month, the supplied docker-compose.yaml was quite straightforward, had a little headache with Nginx but nothing overly complicated.
The long-con so to speak is federation, you have to subscribe to each community manually to begin federating with them, i have noticed timing issues with other instances such as Lemmy.world and have not been able to resolve them.

join the EU’s new system or create our own.
Tell that to the Government of British Columbia;

Redlib is great but has not seen a new release in over a year, the maintainer who took over the Libreddit project is clearly burnt out.
Suggest following this GitHub issue as folks have created forks of Redlib.

Canada 2026 - Tumbler Ridge school shooting
Australia 2024 - Atlantis Beach Baptist College school shooting
Germany 2026 - Welfen-Gymnasium school shooting
France & Austria 2025 - School shootings 2 hours apart from each other
Gun control helps minimize these incidents, sure, buts is certainly not a be all end all solution. Also Canada’s Wes Stevens heads to world shooting championships without a firearm due to countries regulations.
Thank you for the affirmation, I got reverse proxies and certificates relatively down, however I am struggling to understand headers and their purposes, I know Mozilla has great documentation regarding headers but lately I’ve gotten lazy, haha.
