When trans people don’t have access to trans-related medical care, they die at very high rates. When trans people are terrorized by their government and their neighbors, they lash out. When trans people are labeled as terrorists, there can be no peace.

The Mormons, Southern Baptists, and some Jewish groups just asked the Supreme Court to consider trans people exempt from equal protections clause of the 14th amendment.

Government shutdown is also what he really wants, because he wants unrest and violence to justify sending the military to cities to carry out his nazi terrorism, declare a national emergency, and hold a third term in office.

This is great and all, but UCI has transphobic policies and doesn’t allow trans female cyclists who transitioned after puberty to compete in their events, full stop. That’s not a matter of fairness. Minimum fairness would at least allow trans athletes based on hormone levels and time transitioned. This is just straight up discrimination. From their rules:

female transgender athletes who have transitioned after (male) puberty will be prohibited from participating in women’s events on the UCI International Calendar – in all categories – in the various disciplines.

Until people actually have enough integrity to not participate in groups that are actively transphobic, I am not going to celebrate their exclusionary wins and triumphs.
