None of these people disagreeing with me can even articulate why I might be wrong, because they know it’s true. The (white) American left is only concerned with, at best, building social democracy for American citizens. They will not talk about unequal exchange or the monopoly power of their financial system, they don’t want to think about the idea that they’re a settler colonialist project, they don’t want to think that “veterans” are really child murderers, or that they benefit from being part of the consumerist organ of global capitalism. At best they acknowledge these things in passing, wish something could be done about it, sigh, and then go right back to supporting stuff that only benefits them.

The fact that they are stuck between two fences like this is the reason they don’t do anything, and they just let things slowly get worse.

Nuance between imperialism and anti-imperialism. Room in your head for a little bit of American chauvinism?

How is this not true? How can anyone possibly reconcile supporting the existence of the US government as being compatible with leftism?

The labor aristocracy and the “middle class” exists as a consequence of capitalists paying a portion of workers less than is required for social reproduction (underpricing their labor-power) and then selling these commodities to a group of more well-off workers, pocketing some of the super profits for themselves, but also sacrificing some to reduce the price of their commodities below what would usually be profitable, reducing the cost of consumption for already well-off workers, entrenching them as a middle class whose function is to consume. These people can become, on occasion, so wealthy (for a worker) that they can invest their money and turn it into capital, becoming petite bourgeois. This is the mechanism of increasing wage disparity. It doesn’t even need a conspiracy.

The goal of majority of democratic socialists in America is to redistribute imperial super profits to the American working class (excluding immigrants and other oppressed groups the DSA can conveniently ignore). Their billionaires certainly didn’t get that rich from taking all that money from Americans.

What if the windows are just a part of what makes the car go. I’ve seen houses without windows, but a car without windows is inconceivable.

Actually, I would put money in, because there’s big profits to be had once the bakery customers develop a psychological dependence on Willy. I’d be a little nervous about buying now, because they seem to be lying a lot about Willy, but maybe they’ve just gotta do that to get people in the mindset of using Willy, like maybe it makes more sense if they aren’t fooling investors but fooling customers or just generating attention.

Also, people are getting radicalized against us, especially lonely people, so it’d be quite beneficial if we route them into having friendships with Willy to make them forget about how terrible their lives are, make them become totally unwilling to form real relationships with people, and too mentally ill to actually learn stuff about the world.

Willy is a lot easier to control then a social media environment too, but Willy would also be incredibly good at getting into those and pretending to be real people once Willy gets good enough.

Willy is also really good at showing people ads by recommending them certain products, apps, or places to go, without them realizing they’re seeing an ad, because it feels conversational, like a friend recommending something.

An agent breaks into the US government and exposes “sensitive information” then they live-stream the execution where they let it talk with the executioner for a while, and they yell at it that it committed “high treason against the United States of America!” and then they pull the plug.

Use of force is by any state is unchecked state power, and having multiple parties does not imply democracy, nor make things more democratic.

But yes, I actually do support giving proletarian communists (specifically women and minorities) guns, so that the state can be terrorized into not making reactionary compromises that will lead to doom.

Yeah, like I’m trans and it seems like the majority of people want to erase me for it. Do we just let that go on until we have a democratic consensus that trans people actually do exist while 3,000 people are socially murdered in the time we wait?

It’s the same for capitalist and imperialist oppression. Pro-imperialist or pro-capitalist ideologies or ideologies that comprimise with capitalism or imperialism are not neutral and shouldn’t be respected just because a majority of people have them. People who who end up supporting liberalism or fascism should be oppressed.

I don’t want to become radicalized and lose my life or some shit fighting against the state, but if they’re just letting people get lynched again, then I have to.
