Next you won’t be able to own computers yourself. It’s all going to be rented through sky high subscription fees. Technofeudalism intensifies.
This is what’s most important. Allow for experimentation!
What works well for one team might not work well for your team. What worked well for your team 1 year ago might no longer be what you need now.
Turns out the critics were right all along: the Internet is a fad

100·9 days agoHave you noticed how every LinkedIn bro is talking about their vibe coding workflows, but no one is showing what they’ve made with vibe coding?
Writing “iteration” sounds absolutely perverse!
I like it to make it clear when the for loop is about iterating lists and when it’s not. For example, the iterations in Monte Carlo algorithms doesn’t correspond to items in a list.
Outside of the for loop counters i and j, short variable names are awful.
I’ve started to prefer writing it out as ”index” or ”iteration” even in for loop counters. It’s easier to read, and not much harder to type.
The FP in Java is still leagues better than whatever the C++ committee cooked up.
The OOP boilerplater is the only one with a job.
That’s a symbol of the sun commonly used in Euroasian religions. It’s clearly not the Nazi symbol. Also, the gesture he’s doing is obviously a Roman salute. Libs are so soft these days.

It’s actually quite clever. Now they can brag about the amazing spike in market share of Copilot for their shareholders. Wohoo! Every company is using Copilot (formerly Office)!!!
Soon they’ll rebrand Windows to Copilot OS to increase the market share even further.

The difference with the AI bubble is that it’s at the scale of the dot com bubble now.
Happened to me. Lost my phone at a party. Someone called it to help me find it.
Next day I see I have a missed call from a number I don’t recognize. The strange thing is that they called me in the middle of the night. Is it a spam call? Who calls me in the middle of the night???
Took a while to connect the dots.

I wasn’t enjoying Blood Meridian. What life experience do I need to enjoy it?
