Violence is a very effective tool for social change and maintenance–for good or ill. One can advocate for violence without claiming any moral superiority and instead purely on the likely outcomes of that act of violence.
All these hugely popular candidates and their hugely popular platforms are going to be a total disaster for the Democratic Party. Can the party really succeed by delivering on social and economic change for the majority of people?

Lemmy, like linux, has a very small learning curve that keeps out most people.
This mirrors my experience as a dumb person desperately trying to seem to cool to nerds. I’d alwys try Linux and something wouldn’t work, I’d spend hours trying to fix it, then I’d just stop booting into it.
Been mono-booting Linux Mint with almost no problems for a year, the same time that Windows is the worst its ever been.
Problem is: once you’ve perfected an OS, you still have to satisfy the C-Suites egos with canges. Result: everything gets worse.
The implication of the way you said it is that there an underlying chemical/biological cause that could be addressed with a chemical/biological solution; I don’t think the arrow of causality points in that direction.

Plenty of places–many McD’s included–have the soda machienes out in the dining area for customers to self-serve, probaby because the fraction of time it takes for an employee to fill the drink cost more than the soda itself.
I know a thrifty fella who knows the specific refill policy of each of the 5 nearby McDonalds; there’s a lot of variation between stores.
