I’m failing to see what’s weird or gross about it, honestly. I don’t think bugs or their activities are inherently weird or gross. I don’t personally use honey in anything other than honey roasted peanut butter.

Because it tastes good? Anything we eat can sound gross.
Hard disagree. I quite like the plant-based burgers, hot dogs, jerky, cheeses, etc. They really do satisfy me in the same way as the “real” ones.
Yeah, it’s been a real challenge. In my effort to break from the internet as my social outlet, I’ve been volunteering at my local fire company, going to church, and trying to get involved with some local politics. Difficult for sure.

Keyboard warrior energy is insane

Entirely depends on the local area. I have two Costcos in my area. I also have several farmers’ markets, a co-op, and several grocers that sell fair trade and local products.

If one lives near a Costco, then there are almost certainly more ethical options in the same area.

I don’t even think that’s true in most cases.

Yeah not sure how Costco is supposed to be a good choice.

Not how that works. These types of reactors have other problems associated with them, but they do still produce waste material that has to be buried. They just produce less than conventional reactors.

Not to mention far more dangerous and produces waste material that we’ve decided to just bury.
I’m actually a peanut butter purist. Only ingredients are peanuts and water.
Just used a tablespoon of peanut butter right now. Pretty sure I’ve never used more than two unless I’m making a recipe for multiple people.
Peanut butter typically has a serving size of one or two tablespoons. That’s entirely reasonable.

Or they’re watching the Orioles play.
As I’ve heard one person say, “your right of way doesn’t matter if I run you over.” As a pedestrian, I always wait until I see the car slowing down before I step out in front of it.

Within the Green Party, she’s always present at the Annual National Meeting. She’s typically present at any major state-level conventions (e.g., NJ). A quick search shows she’s involved with Lifeline for Palestine and People’s Conference for Palestine. I also see she’s done at least one speaking event at a university (https://dailynorthwestern.com/2025/03/07/campus/jill-stein-talks-oligarchy-foreign-policy-at-political-union-winter-speaker-event/).

Unless you follow Green politics. She’s quite active all the time. People outside of the Green Party only pay attention when she’s on the ballot, though.
To be clear, I eat a mostly plant-based diet due to environmental considerations, not because I find it bizarre to consume animal products. Do you somehow find it bizarre or gross that worms and other microorganisms breakdown dead matter from sentient creatures to produce the soil used to grow crops? Or the involvement of insects in the production of said crops? Do you find it gross for a baby to consume breast milk?
