Yeah, I hope that the renewables will continue exponentially… I agree that the growing share of renewables in the mix is awesome, but in the end what matters is each ton of CO2 emitted. And we’re not going in the right direction :(

What frustrates me is that China is indeed leading so much technological development on energy, but the amount of coal being burnt is just not budging… Please, China. Make the transition already.

I can’t find anything on Walter Hallstein and Adolf Heusinger being nazis or committing war crimes. Looks like the former was an academic drafted in the army and the latter a high-ranking officer who began his career before the nazis.

I get that Heusinger can be seen as complicit (he must have known for whom he worked and didn’t quit), but what about Hallstein?

In my country (and in many othets I suspect), the number of pupils per teacher keeps increasing. It’s really hard to individualize teaching when you have 30 pupils :(

Just a quick comment that I am not american ;)

If there really were a single dimension axis of smartness, won’t there be a “smartest” and a “least smart” in every classroom? And if they’re in the wrong class and they leave, won’t there be two new pupils at the extremes? This argument of “you’re in the wrong class” always sounded elitist to me.

The important is that the teacher tailors the teaching to the students. Spend more time on the ones who struggle, give extra stuff to do to the quickest (e.g. help teaching to other pupils).

I’ve also always been against separating children by “intelligence”. Having a “smart” class and a “dumb” class is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

That being said, there are children who have special needs and who require a teacher who has the proper formation to help them.

Certainly they are neutral evil, no? Can’t have market monopoly without rules. Wouldn’t go as far as lawful evil because they ain’t afraid of breaking no law.

Honestly you can play it with keyboard and mouse no problem. Don’t let it prevent you from playing!
