“Dont tread on me” is escalatory language that endangers the law enforcement officers that are currently breaking the law by treading on you. We may tread more harshly on those using this language.
Next time try saying “Tread on me harder daddy” this is language shows you are benign and docile, and may slow the speed and severity of the tread. Thank you for you compliance.
I think the Internet still has lots of promise. We just did a capitalism on it. If we can get the cancer out it’ll be an amazing thing again.
But I do think some of that early promise was overestimated because mostly smart people were on it then. We thought it was the medium, but it was just techies or people with hobbies or interest that made it that special place, now that your average Joe is there it’s mostly shit, but go somewhere with a little barrier to entry (like Lemmy) and it is pretty cool again.

I did see another commenter speculating that Paul took the fight knowing he would lose, but thinking with a larger ring and his skills at running, he could survive until the end and that he would legitimize himself as a real professional boxer. Cops in the USA, as well as being scum, are terrified. The population has almost no access to mental health care, near unlimited access to guns, and many reasons to not trust the police. The police are also trained as “warriors” instead of guardians with a us vs them mentality. That’s a good point. I buy most of my produce at small natural food stores. It’s normally better, but more expensive for sure. Yeah supermarket produce can often be a let down.
