What the fuck is this?
On one hand I feel like say something along the lines of “we live in the worst of timelines”, but on the other hand it’s really not that strange. The aesthetics and communication methods (smaller world and all that) have changed, but in the broader historical sense it’s not too unique.
With Trump’s limited intelligence and reactionary worldview. he’s managed to recreate a caricature of the worst of imperialist, racist self-serving bullshit. I’m surprised he didn’t call China the Yellow Menace and threaten higher tariffs if the Sacklers aren’t allowed to dump cheap opioids into their market.
