These votes demonstrate that the Democratic Party functions not as an opposition but as an enabler of the Trump administration. Its priority is to ensure the uninterrupted funding of the US military while diverting popular opposition with calls for meaningless cosmetic changes to the administration’s efforts to establish a presidential dictatorship.
Because the priority right now isn’t social programs and funding for shit Trump will just cut when the GOP gains unopposed power and eliminates democracy FFS. Getting a cookie by funding the elimination of democracy and the dissolution of rights isn’t a fucking win.
If Trump has that power he hasn’t demonstrated it, nor would any sort of congressional vote actually matter in that context.
If he demonstrates it, it’s too late to stop…
