I have nerve damage in my hands. I use a lot of voice dict ation and the default has curse word censored. I don’t care enough to change it.

Frankly it’s shocking to me that so many people on Lemmy first off don’t know this and second off care so very much that they have to bring it up whenever it happens.

But either way thank you for your copious amounts of ableism on this fine day. I needed that jolt to wake me up.

Next time, before I post, I’ll be sure to gather up all the things I don’t know before I press send.

I mean, it’s pretty easy. Next time don’t be an ableist cunt.

You see some stars and freak the fuck out? Do you happen to be a middle schooler.

I think “being ableist” implies a sort of intention or motivation. On the internet, where the only thing I can see is a username, I think it’s pretty much impossible to assume I was being ableist from one comment.

That being said, if I were to say something ableist knowing what I know now, then yeah, feel free to scream and call me an asshole.

I only said what I said because lemmy is inundated with memes that have had all the “bad words” censored.

BTW, your first sentence is part of the problem.

How do you think this one works:

“I thought racism had to be intentional. I just said some things, man!”

Don’t turn shit back on the other person.

Next time, before I post, I’ll be sure to gather up all the things I don’t know before I press send.

Your intentions were clear when you said this stupid shit. It’s about as useful as the other guy who was like why don’t you just use a better transcriber or not to be disabled or some s***.

You heard somebody was suffering and you decided well, time to be a bigger a******…

That being said, if I were to say something ableist knowing what I know now, then yeah, feel free to scream and call me an asshole.

I’m not yelling. And clearly you are actually an a******. See your previous post for evidence.

I only said what I said because lemmy is inundated with memes that have had all the “bad words” censored.

I don’t believe you. Because it isn’t the memes, people are constantly berating anybody who has asterixes in their words because we’re f****** afraid. Seriously every few f****** threads there is somebody complaining about asterixes in people’s curse words. The real, honest question is: did it hurt you in any way, or were you just being morally superior about your ability to use curse words with your fine manual dexterity.

Before I was calling you out on being an a****** I was pointing out that you’re ignorant. Voice transcription by default usually has censorship. I just live with it because I really don’t give a s***. When you complained about all the things you don’t know, this is an actual reasonable one because of f*** ton of able people use voice transcription because it’s convenient.

Please don’t come in twice clearly as the worst person, and then act in contrite like you’re the better person. It doesn’t work because that’s clearly not you.

I don’t always like being me, but I’ll be damned if I ever become you.

three@lemmy.zip - I think they called you an abalone, but I’m not 100% sure.

I just don’t understand how it’s ableism if you purposely chose not to disable the censorship in your voice-to-text. You said it yourself- “I don’t care enough to change it”. That’s not ableism.

                    abalone

Hey you f****** idiot. You know I’m using voice transcription, and you choose to make fun of me because a word may be misplaced somewhere?

You realize you are actually a piece of garbage right?

I’m sorry that I didn’t adapt to your expectations. That must have been ableist of me.

I mean come the f*** on. We’re not talking about anything that matters we’re talking about a f****** asterix that’s not ableism That’s just you people being a bunch of c**** with a stupid lemmy purity test.

You are seriously saying that I’m not accommodating you as an abled person by not going out of my way to do what you expect?

Let me runs around with the pretense that people are actually left leaning and compassionate, but as a Reddit clone it clearly is just that. A gathering place for morons who would rather argue than not be pieces of s***.

Sounds like you should get a better app to transcribe your words instead of whining about people being ableist

No I’m pointing out ableists are being ableist

You seem to be deeply offended that you saw some asterixes on the internet.

I mean, for real, is your life so hopeless and empty that mocking the disabled is all you have in it?

I mean that’s cool and all, you got to do you. But it seems kind of sad when you could be getting an education or contributing positively on the internet or something.

            Idk.
