So? This argument infuriates me because it’s similar to the “too big to fail” argument. It’s basically saying “yes this crime is legal because the alternative is worse”. Who is she to decide that these pedophiles are allowed to get away with it?

They’ll tell you about how if we don’t make an exception and give all our taxes(I’m Canadian but it’s the same vibe) to these companies then we’re hurting ourselves for nothing but if you tell them that public services and consumer/renter/environmental/etc. protections will save tax money and inject much needed spending into the wider economy they tell you that you can’t say anything because you own an iPhone. It’s insanity.
